Formula One, also known as Formula 1 or F1 and referred to officially as the FIA Formula One World Championship, is the highest class of single seater auto racing sanctioned by the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). The “formula”, designated in the name, refers to a set of rules with which all participants’ cars must comply. The F1 season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix (from French, originally meaning grand prizes), held throughout the world on purpose-built circuits and public roads.

The results of each race are combined with a points system to determine two annual World Championships, one for the drivers and one for the constructors. The racing drivers, constructor teams, track officials, organizers, and circuits are required to be holders of valid Super Licenses, the highest class of racing license issued by the FIA.

A Nanjarin is a virtual pet simulator in which the player can raise his virtual pet and make him grow training him, giving him food, entertain and giving him love. Think of them as Tamagotchi’s on steroids!

A digital pet (also known as a virtual pet or artificial pet is a type of artificial human companion. They are usually kept for companionship or enjoyment. People may keep a digital pet in lieu of a real pet.

A Nanjarin, (SLPS-01424)Digital pets are in that they have no concrete physical form other than the hardware they run on. Interaction with virtual pets may or may not be goal oriented. If it is, then the user must keep it alive as long as possible and often help it to grow into higher forms. Keeping the pet alive and growing often requires ‘feeding’, grooming and playing with the pet. If the interaction is not goal oriented, the user can explore the character of the pet and enjoy the feeling of building a relationship with it. Often these games use realistic visual effects or interaction to make the pet appear alive and give a sense of reality to users.

Digital pets can be “simulations of real animals, as in the Petz series” or “fantasy ones like the Tamagotchi” Unlike biological simulations, the pet does not usually reproduce. They generally do not die.

Raise a virtual pet on the big screen from baby blob to a galloping furball. Choose from a number of different animals and guide their growth

Baseball is one of the most popular sports in Japan. It was introduced to Japan in 1872 by Horace Wilson, who taught at the Kaisei School in Tokyo. The first baseball team was called the Shimbashi Athletic Club and was established in 1878. Baseball has been a popular sport ever since. It is called yakyu in Japanese, combining the characters for fielding and ball.

99Koshien-01bIn Japan, high school baseball generally refers to the 2 annual baseball tournaments played by high schools nationwide culminating at a final showdown at Hanshin Koshien Stadium in Nishinomiya, Japan. They are organized by the Japan High School Baseball Federation in association with Mainichi Shimbun for the National High School Baseball Invitational Tournament in the spring (also known as “Spring Koshien”) and Asahi Shimbun for the National High School Baseball Championship in the summer (also known as “Summer Koshien”).

These nationwide tournaments enjoy widespread popularity, arguably equal to or greater than professional baseball. Qualifying tournaments are often televised locally and each game of the final stage at Koshien is televised nationally on NHK. The tournaments have become a national tradition, and large numbers of frenzied students and parents travel from hometowns to cheer for their local team. It is a common sight to see players walking off the field in tears after being eliminated from the tournament by a loss. Continue reading ‘99 Koushien, (SLPS-02110)’ »
