Manufacturer’s description: This Natsume entry into the realm of extreme sports gaming puts the player in charge of a squad of highly-trained synchronized skydivers. As in reality, there is a short period between the time the diver leaves the plane and has to open his chute and the game’s challenge comes in aligning the free-falling team members to form impressive formations before the time limit expires.

Players can lead their team in competition against a string of computer-controlled international contenders, or go head-to-head against a friend. Each squad can perform over 40 different formations and a practice mode allows the player to perfect his skills without the time limit.

Horse Racing (US) or horseracing (UK) is an equestrian sport that has been practiced for millennia. It is inextricably associated with gambling. The common sobriquet for Thoroughbred horse racing is The Sport of Kings.

Horse racing is an equestrian sport and major international industry, watched in almost every nation of the world. There are three types: “flat” racing; steeplechase, i.e. racing over jumps; and harness racing, where horses trot or pace while pulling a driver in a small, light cart known as a sulky. A major part of horse racing’s economic importance lies in the gambling associated with it, an activity that in 2008 generated a world-wide market worth around US$115 billion.

G1Jockey-01dJapan conducts more than 21,000 horse races a year in one of three types: flat racing, jump racing (races over hurdles), and Ban’ei Racing (also called Draft Racing).

There are a total of thirty racetracks in Japan. Ten of these tracks are known as “central tracks”, where most of Japan’s top races are conducted. Races at these ten tracks are conducted by the Japan Racing Association (JRA), which operates under the oversight of the Japanese government. The remaining twenty tracks are operated by municipal racing authorities and run under the affiliation of the National Association of Racing (NAR). Two tracks, Sapporo Racecourse and Chukyo Racecourse, run separate meetings under either JRA or NAR jurisdiction.

Horse racing game in the style of the Gallop Racer series. G1 Jockey features different racing places and a lot of different kind of horses of all them with their own stats. (more…)

Bowling refers to a series of sports or leisure activities in which a player rolls or throws a bowling ball down a lane. In indoor bowling, the target is usually to knock over pins. In outdoor variations, the aim is usually to get the ball as close to a target ball as possible. The indoor version of bowling is often played on a flat wooden or other synthetic surface, while outdoor bowling the surface may be grass, gravel or a synthetic surface. The most common types of indoor bowling include ten-pin, nine-pin, candlepin, duckpin and five-pin bowling, while in outdoor bowling, bowls, bocce, pétanque and boules are popular. Today, the sport of bowling is enjoyed by 95 million people in more than 90 countries worldwide.

FamilyBowling-01eFamily Bowling is a bowling game that features 2 courts at the beginning of the game (Prism Town & Liberty Planet), 12 characters (only 4 are available at the beginning of the game) & 2 game modes:
– Free or Tournament mode: In this mode there are 4 possible playable characters to choose (Maki, Kazuhiko, Shota & Ichika). The player can select also the number of opponents and if he wants that they will be computer or player opponents.

– Challenge Mode: In this mode the characters are the same as in free mode but here the game play is about different bowling challenges that the player has to try to clear.

The game-play as usual in the bowling games begins with an overview of the court where the player has to select the direction of the shot, after that the character direction and finally select the power and effect of the shot. At the beginning the player can change the name of the bowler and also select if he want a right-hand or lefty player.

The game allows up to four human players (using the same controller, not a multitap) to play at the same game.

Known as buruma (ブルマ), also burumā (ブルマー), bloomers were introduced to Japan as women’s clothing for physical education in 1903. After the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, a newer style of bloomers which fit the body closer, similar to volleyball uniforms, became commonplace. Around the mid-1990s, however, schools and individuals began to choose longer, looser sports shorts instead, citing modesty concerns. Most schools have dropped the close-fitting buruma athletic wear in favor of newer styles, but the classic buruma is still available from uniform suppliers. Many people are also interested in buruma (bloomers) for cosplay events.
